Welcome to 8th Grade Science!

Welcome! I’m Ms. Emich, and I teach 8th Grade Science. Throughout the year, you will explore science through hands-on investigations, experiments, data analysis, and engineering challenges. Our goal is to ask questions, think critically, and use evidence to better understand the world around us.

• 8.1 Contact Forces — motion, collisions, forces, and energy
• 8.2 Sound Waves — vibrations, waves, and how sound travels
• 8.3 Forces at a Distance — magnets, magnetic fields, and electromagnets
• 8.4 Earth in Space — Earth, our solar system, and the universe
• 8.5 Genetics — genes, traits, and inheritance
• 8.6 Natural Selection — adaptations and how populations change over time
